Our Origins can be traced to Kashmir who was brought to Kerala by the then King in Kerala. We belong to Eyeroor Kovilakom. Some references are in Herman Gundert Dictionary and in Sabthatharavali.   in 1741  Eyeroor's gave  land to Dutch for bringing Ilayidathu Rani back to power. My Grand father's name is John Eyeroor who resided in  Marangattu konam at Valakom in  Quilon District He was an  agriculturist.  Noted author S.P Vasanthan has noted about Eyeroor, in the chapters Ilayidathunadu, Kottarakkara, Kodungalloor, Thekkumkoor, Poonjar in his  book Kerala Samskarika Charithra Nighandu.

Eyeroor John was a Marthomite.  Varghese John was his one of the sons. He  became a pentecostal pastor after his marriage. He was married to Rachel Varghese from Cheruvakkal, daughter of Panayil Chacko, an orthodox believer.

George Eyeroor was born in 1966 and studied English Literature in Sree Kerala Varma College, Thrissur. He then went to Sorbonne Nouvelle- Paris 3 to study Arts du Spectacle. Now he working a s French to English Translator in different companies. He is in the process of Translating French articles and studies into Malayalam.
